Orville appeared in an episode of Series 3. He was in a shopping centre when a customer approached him for an autograph. He asked where Keith Harris, Orville's puppeteer, was. Orville replied that Keith and him were planning to keep away and be in serious roles from now on. He also stated that he got a role in The Bill as a racist cop. As that customer left, another nudged him: "Oi, Orville, where's Keith?" As the customer walked on chuckling, Orville growled under his breath "Oh, for God's sake..."
